Honestly, my son completely outdid himself. When he surprised me with tickets to a Cosmic Baseball game—the GlowMojis taking on the Chili Peppers—I knew we were in for some crazy, Savannah Bananas-style entertainment. But when I saw our seats were right behind home plate, my photographer brain went into total overdrive. I brought my camera ready for action, but I had no idea just how epic the night was actually going to get.
The first half was pure, hilarious high-energy baseball, and the daylight made it super easy to lock in focus and snap some awesome action shots of the batters and catchers. Then, out of nowhere, the stadium flipped a switch and dropped total dark mode on us. The black lights kicked on, and the whole place went radioactive! The GlowMojis and Chili Peppers were wearing glowing gear, the balls looked like shooting stars, and the lines on the field literally erupted in neon.
Sitting right behind the plate turned out to be the absolute ultimate spot for photos. Shooting fast-moving glowing baseballs and neon-painted players in the dark was a wild challenge, but looking through my lens at light-trails from the bats was unreal. I walked away with some of the coolest, most unique sports shots I’ve ever taken, but best of all, I got an unforgettable night hanging out with my son.
